Letter to Members Settlement

(If there is a funeral or other last minute church event scheduled we will be moved across the parking lot to the hall on the east side.)

The Board has approved a negotiated settlement and it must be reviewed and approved by the members.  The lawyers for both parties are working on a final settlement document.  It should be ready in time for this meeting.

Andrea McCarthy our SSAI Attorney will present the final settlement document, if it is finished.

Then a vote will be taken of the members present to approve or not approve.  This is an important meeting, please attend.

The Board is waiting for clearance from our lawyer (Andrea) before it issues any additional details.  The final settlement document is still in process by the attorneys and it doesn’t want to do anything that adversely impacts its successful completion.

If it’s done in time it will be issued along with a PROXY Ballot for the members who cannot attend the meeting.

The negotiated settlement is using legal resources that are being paid for from the $50. surcharge.

Whatever money is not used will be credited to your SSAI account.  A detailed summary will be available at the annual meeting in July.  It takes about a month after the final legal support time is provided by our attorney for the invoice to arrive at our bookkeeper’s mailbox.
