Beach Committee

Beach Re-Nourishment Project
Winter of 2002 - A beach abutter requests to pay the Association for an easement for the right to place a dock over our beach.
January 4, 2003 - the Board of Directors of the Association call a Special Meeting to see if this request can be met.  The membership votes no, and directs the Association to under-take our own beach re-nourishment project. The Association establishes a Beach Committee to oversee the project and authorizes fund-raising. The Beach Committee sets out to raise approximately $40,000 dollars.
December 2003 -The Board Of Directors and Beach Committee select a consultant to assist them. The process was then established. A) The Planning Phase, B) The Design Phase, C) The Permitting Phase, and then D) The Construction Phase.
June 04 - Local, State, and Federal approvals were in place to proceed with the project.
April 05 - The Board Of Directors and Beach Committee selected its contractor to add sand to the beach.
April 24 & 25 2005 - 1,095 cubic yards of pure washed sand was placed on our beach. The Beach Re-Nourishment project was a huge success.
